With November being Epilepsy Awareness Month, I thought it'd be the perfect time to share how Everly Jane co. came to be.

I received my epilepsy diagnosis 3 years ago at the age of 25. While that was hard enough. the medications that were helping me manage my health completely wrecked my skin. It became this constant, itchy, dry, furious mess.

I remember standing in front of my favorite perfumes, the ones that made me feel put-together, and just getting so angry. I grew up being told "If you look good, and smell good, nothing can ruin your day!" but that was just it, THAT'S what was ruining my day. Why was I spending all this money on something that burned and dried my already struggling skin? With the doctor bills piling up, the luxury just felt impossible. It sounds ridiculous, but I felt like I had to choose between my health, my budget, and feeling good about myself.

It made me realize something huge: If my skin was reacting this way, what about people dealing with conditions like psoriasis and eczema every single day? I realized this was bigger than me. How many people were being excluded from a simple pleasure because of irritating ingredients.

That's the moment Everly Jane Co. was born.

I knew we had to fix it. We didn't need complicated formulas or crazy price tags. We just needed simple, genuine luxury. Because sometimes, that's the thing that it took to feel "normal".
